Prison Book Program (Sign Up)

“Prison Book Program mails books to people in prison to support their educational, vocational and personal development and to help them avoid returning to prison after their release. We also aim to provide a quality volunteer experience that introduces citizens to issues surrounding the American prison system and the role of education in reforming it.”

Join us in organizing book requests from prisoners at the Prison Book Program!

Room to Grow (Sign Up)

We will be sorting, folding and organizing donation items at Room to Grow.  Room to Grow is dedicated to enriching the lives of babies born into poverty throughout their critical first three years of development. Parents are referred to Room to Grow by a network of prenatal programs assisting low-income families. Upon their referral, families visit Room to Grow’s warm and inviting space once every three months from just before the birth of the baby until their child turns three.  Please contact with any questions.

Community Servings

Community Servings provides quality meals to people homebound with AIDS and other chronic illnesses.  The group of volunteers will package meals to be distributed the next day.  We can take up to 10 volunteers.  Please contact with any questions.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA 02139

We will be helping to coordinate the hands-on volunteer activities during the day of service! You will also have time to participate in the project. The activities benefit various organizations throughout Cambridge. Please invite your friends and also consider bringing some items to donate (children’s books, non-perishable food items, winter clothes, toiletries). Please sign up ASAP so we can get a head count!
