East Boston Kiwanis Bike Safety Rodeo (Sign Up)

On Saturday, May 14, 2016 we will be joining the Kiwanis Club of East Boston at their annual Bike Safety Rodeo.  The target is children Kindergarten to 5th grade.  The event will include giving away free bicycle helmets, a free raffle for brand new bicycles, a bicycle safety clinic featuring bike safety inspections and optional quick tune-ups, safety lectures about the rules of the road, a presentation by the Boston Police K9 Unit, vendors with assorted give-aways, music, free pizza, drinks and much more.  The event starts at 10AM in the playground of the Salesians Boys & Girls Club. 150 Byron Street, East Boston.

Ringer Park Spring Cleanup (Sign Up)

We are joining the Parents & Community Build Group, the Ringer Park Partnership Group, and Boston Shines in the annual Ringer Park Spring Clean-up.  Hours are 9:00AM – 1:00PM, but are flexible.  Volunteers can show up for all or part depending on your availability.

At our May meeting, we will be conducting elections for the 2016-2017 Officers and Board of Directors, whose terms will begin on October 1. We will also be holding an in-meeting service project (more information coming shortly).

This meeting will take place at the offices of Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy PC. Thank you to their Director of Information Services Jon Tripp (President of the Kiwanis Club of Salem, NH) for arranging the space for us!

Interested in serving on the 2016-2017 Board? We will be electing a President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and three Directors. These officers will then appoint a Secretary and chairs for several committees, including Service, Fundraising, Membership, and Programs.
